Course Overview
The Forward Deployed Engineer is the person a company sends into the room where the problem actually lives. Part engineer, part consultant, you turn a vague business need into a working, deployed AI system - and you own it from the first discovery call to the final production hand-off. It's one of the most in-demand roles in AI, and this course is the complete path into it.
You'll start with real foundations - Python and TypeScript, APIs, SQL, architecture, cloud, and data - then move into the work that defines the role: building RAG systems and agents, integrating with enterprise CRMs, ERPs, and ticketing tools, and hardening everything against security, privacy, and prompt-injection risk. Every module pairs a focused walkthrough with an on-screen build, so you watch the system come together instead of just hearing about it.
The back half is the field craft most engineers never learn: running discovery calls, scoping the work, writing design docs, demoing to executives, and troubleshooting live production issues under pressure. You finish by building a complete customer-ready AI system as a capstone - a portfolio piece you can defend in FDE, AI engineering, and solutions engineering interviews.
