The World Wide Vibes Hackathon is a global online event where participants build AI-powered solutions to real-world city and public-sector challenges.
The hackathon runs from February 19 to March 21, with kickoff on March 5 and submissions due March 9.
The hackathon is fully virtual, with all workshops, collaboration, and submissions taking place online.
Anyone worldwide can join for free, including beginners, students, professionals, and first-time hackathon participants.
No coding experience is required, as participants can use AI tools and vibe coding to build applications.
Teams will create a practical AI or data-driven solution addressing one of the official civic challenge themes.
Participants choose from Civic Access, Workforce Growth, Smart Cities, or Public Safety challenge categories.
You can join solo or form a team of up to five members, with matchmaking support available.
Participants need only internet access, and using Bright Data tools may earn bonus points.
Teams must submit a working prototype and a short presentation or demo explaining their solution.
A $5,000 prize pool will be awarded across four placements, plus additional recognition and incentives.
Projects are evaluated on relevance, execution quality, originality, social impact, and commercial potential.
Participants receive access to live workshops, mentors, Slack support, and office hours throughout the event.
You’ll gain practical AI skills, build portfolio projects, compete for prizes, and join a global creator community.
